ZINFANDEL
We carry over 136 wines from California!
Zinfandel is considered indigenous to California, where it has thrived since the mid-1850's. Zinfandel as a red wine can be made light and fruity, much like French Beaujolais, or lively, complex and age worthy, like Cabernet or claret.  It can also be made into big, ripe, high alcohol style wines that resemble Port.

ZINFANDEL CHOICES...

Brazin Lodi Old Vine 2007Brazin Lodi Zinfandel Old Vines 2007
$16.99

On the nose I get aromas of black cherry and a medicinal-like cherry cough syrup. On the palate the wine starts off with big black cherry flavors, chocolate, oak, and some spice. There is also a touch of orange peel, sour cherry, and alcohol that make their way into the wine on the finish. You can pretty much sum this wine up by saying that it has a heavy dose of wood and cherry character.

Klinker Brick Lodi Old Vine 2007

Klinker Brick Winery Lodi Old Vine 2007
$18.99
Redolent of blackberry jam and chocolate brownies and biased to the fat, slightly soft style for which Lodi is known, this wine succeeds, where some of its mates falter, by dint of its ongoing impressions of defined fruit. It shows a bit of dryness and heat at the finish and is not a candidate for extended keeping, but it is accessible and quite tasty now and is bound to win favor with fans of the style."

Cosentino The zin

Cosentino - The Zin 2207
$17.99

Exotically rich, it is black fruit oriented with notes of black cherry, currants and blackberry spiced with black pepper.
The Lodi District is known for growing California's best Zinfandel. THE ZIN is not only 100% Zinfandel, but all 100% Lodi of which 80% is from Old Vines. The wine is aged for 9 months, primarily in American and European oak, with some French oak barrels.

Sin Zin Alexander Valley 2005Alexander Valley Vineyards Zinfandel Sin Zin 2005
$17.99
This zinfandel captures the true essence of Alexander Valley. The fruit is sourced from a variety of vineyards with differing microclimates. This provides the winery with an array of unique parcels of fruit. Once vinified, these parcels are blended together and then allowed to mature in French and American oak for 10 months. Further complexity is achieved by the addition of small amounts of Sangiovese and Syrah.
