Medium garnet color with ripe cherry and strawberry notes overlaying a complex interlude of jasmine, clove, cinnamon and earthy spice notes. On the palate, the wine expresses fleshy bing cherry flavors and textures and are framed by rich toffee and cola flavors backed by sweet vanilla and toasted oak. The wine finishes with rose petal and candied violets with the sweet finish of dried cranberries, cherry vanilla and wild strawberry. This wine is 100% Monterey County Pinot Noir. The wine was aged on oak for 9 months before gentle racking and fining. The wine presents nice oak flavors without being overly oaked, allowing the true Pinot Noir flavors to stand forward.

Picked at a relatively lean 24.6 brix, its sinewy frame entwines silky berry fruit sprinkled with spice around a ramrod straight baackbone of invogorating acidity and oxygen defying tannin. This is serious juice that represens an ode to old world winemaking with an emphasis on transparency of site and respect for life-extending structure.
